Hilfe & Support

Stand: 17.

1 · Kontakt

My Day ist ein Ein-Personen-Projekt.

2.1 Was kostet Pro, und was ist enthalten?

  2. Wähle My Day aus der Liste.

  2. Wähle den Kauf „My Day" aus deiner Kaufhistorie.

  2. Öffne die Pro-Ansicht „My Day Pro". Sie erscheint, sobald du eine Pro-Funktion antippst. Tippe dort auf Käufe wiederherstellen.
  3. Prüfe, ob du in My Day mit demselben Konto angemeldet bist wie beim Kauf.

Sieh in dein Postfach."

4 · KI

4.1 Ist die KI verpflichtend?

Nein. My Day funktioniert vollständig ohne eine einzige KI-Aktion.

5 · Was passiert, wenn du etwas abhakst

5.1 Ein Haken zieht mit, was zusammengehört

Aufgaben, Kalender, Gewohnheiten und Fitness hängen in My Day zusammen.

Was dabei mit deiner Serie passiert, steht in Abschnitt 6.

Was ein Haken sonst alles mitzieht, steht in Abschnitt 5.

  2. Tippe oben auf +.
  3. Such My Day in der Liste und wisch zur Größe, die du willst. Es gibt drei.

Schick bitte an tilmann.pheiler05@gmail.com:

English

Last updated: 17 August 2026 · for the My Day iOS app and this website
What follows is the English half of this page. It mirrors the German part above, using the same section numbering. Zum deutschen Teil

Contact: tilmann.pheiler05@gmail.com. Normally I answer within three business days (Monday to Friday). That is the usual case, not a guaranteed deadline. Urgent cases come first and are handled faster: data loss, being locked out of your account, trouble with a purchase, or trouble deleting your account and data.

Most things are faster to do yourself. The common ones:

1 · Contact

My Day is a one-person project. There is no phone hotline and no round-the-clock chat — but the person answering the mail is the person who built the app.

Tilmann Pheiler
Asbeckweg 43
48161 Münster, Germany
E-mail: tilmann.pheiler05@gmail.com

Normally I answer within three business days (Monday to Friday). That is the usual turnaround, not a guaranteed response time. It says business days on purpose: German law counts Saturday as a working day, and I do not work it. It says three days because I build the app alongside other work and missed two more than once in the past weeks.

A longer absence goes at the top of this page with a date; the three business days are then counted from the return date. There is no automatic acknowledgment of receipt, because no machine answers here, I do. Support is available in German and English. If you are reporting a bug, section 10 lists what to include right away.

These cases take priority and are handled considerably faster:

A keyword from that list in the subject line helps me sort the mail. It is not a condition: those four cases come first even when the subject says nothing about them. The situation earns the priority, not the keyword.

Never send me your password, credit card details or Apple ID credentials. I never ask for them, and none of the cases on this page require them.

2 · Subscription, pricing and refunds

2.1 What does Pro cost, and what is included?

This is an auto-renewable subscription through your Apple account. It renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The price Apple shows you at purchase is the binding one — billing runs entirely through Apple.

Pro unlocks exactly this:

Without Pro — available to every account today: tasks, calendar, habits and fitness with no limits, accent colors and backgrounds, the Apple Calendar connection, sync across several devices, file export and import of your own data, and HealthKit sync. None of it is charged for today, and none of it counts against a quota.

About one item on that list I would rather be straight with you: HealthKit sync is open to every account today. Whether that stays the case has not been decided. If it ever changes, the change would apply going forward only, and a period you have already paid for would not be touched. So I am not promising you it is free forever, and I am not selling it to you as a Pro feature today either.

Voucher codes unlock Pro for twelve months as a rule; the exact duration depends on the individual code and is shown in the app when you redeem it. A redeemed code is not a payment: nothing is charged, so nothing can be refunded. When it runs out it simply ends. It never turns into a subscription.

2.2 Canceling your subscription

Cancellation happens at Apple, not in the app:

  1. Open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. On an iPhone you can also go to Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions.
  2. Select My Day from the list.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Pro stays fully active until then — nothing is switched off immediately. After that your account returns to Free; your tasks, events, habits and workouts all stay exactly as they are, only the Pro features listed in 2.1 stop being available.

To stop the renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the expiry date. That date is shown on the same Apple page.

I cannot cancel a subscription for you. The purchase contract is with Apple, and only you have access to your Apple account. The reverse holds too: deleting your account in the app does not cancel a running Apple subscription — always cancel here at Apple first, and only then delete under Profile → Danger zone → "Delete account" (section 3.3).

2.3 Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are granted by Apple only:

  1. Open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Select the "My Day" purchase from your purchase history.
  3. Choose Report a Problem or Request a refund, give a reason and submit the form.

Apple decides on the refund. I never see payment data and cannot pay money out or speed up a decision. If a technical problem is what is pushing you towards a refund, do write to me anyway. It may well be fixable.

2.4 Pro is not active although I paid

The purchase completes at Apple, and the unlock reaches the app through my server. There can be a few minutes between the two, especially on a poor connection. In this order:

  1. Wait a moment, close the app completely in the app switcher and open it again.
  2. Open the "My Day Pro" screen. It appears as soon as you tap a Pro feature. Tap Restore purchases there.
  3. Check that you are signed in to My Day with the same account you used when buying. Your access to Pro is tied to the My Day account, not to the device.

If Apple has confirmed the purchase but the unlock is still on its way, the top of that screen says so: "Purchase confirmed — unlocking", followed by a reference you can select and copy.

If Pro stays missing for more than a few minutes, write to me and include exactly that reference. It lets me find the transaction without you sending any payment or Apple ID details. The purchase date and whether you bought monthly or yearly help too.

If instead only the widget on the home screen looks locked for a moment while the app itself shows Pro, that is a different case, and section 8.2 explains it.

3 · Account and data

3.1 Forgotten password

The sign-in screen appears on first launch, and later under Profile whenever you are signed out. The order matters:

  1. First type the e-mail address you registered with into the field at the top.
  2. Then tap "Forgot password?" underneath. The app confirms with "Reset email sent. Check your inbox." (With an empty field it asks you to enter the address first.)
  3. Open the link from that e-mail on the same iPhone. It leads back into the app, to the "New password" screen.
  4. Set a new password there (at least 6 characters), repeat it, and sign in with it.

If no e-mail arrives: check your spam folder and make sure it is really the account's address (typos and a second address are the usual causes). If you open the link on a device other than the iPhone with the app installed, it ends up in a browser instead of the app. Try again from the iPhone in that case. If you no longer have access to that mailbox, write to me from an address you can reach and describe the account. I will take it from there.

3.2 Exporting your data

In the app: Profile → Backup → "Save data to a file". The app writes your entire data set into a file that you can store through the iOS share sheet (in Files or iCloud Drive, for example). To bring it back, use "Restore from a file" in the same place — on a new iPhone too.

This manual export is free with every account and is not part of Pro. It is also the only way there is: a backup that runs by itself in the background does not exist — neither on Free nor on Pro.

The export is also the right step before deleting your account (3.3). After that I no longer hold the data either.

3.3 Deleting your account and all data

In the app: Profile → Danger zone → "Delete account". The danger zone appears once you are signed in.

Next to it sits "Delete my data", which is a different thing: it empties your synced content but keeps the account itself. For a complete goodbye, "Delete account" is the right button.

Deleting the account is immediate and permanent. It removes your account and everything stored on the server that belongs to it: everything the app keeps for you, the AI usage counter, your plan entry and any redeemed voucher codes. There is no bin, no grace period and no way to restore it. I cannot bring any of it back either. Data held only locally on your iPhone disappears when you delete the app from the device.

Important: deleting your account does not cancel a running Apple subscription. Cancel at Apple first (section 2.2), then delete the account — otherwise billing continues although the account is gone. The app warns you about this before deleting, too.

4 · AI

4.1 Is the AI mandatory?

No. My Day works completely without a single AI action. Tasks, calendar, habits, fitness, reminders, the widget and sync across devices all run independently — none of them is an AI feature.

An AI request only happens when you trigger one yourself. Only then does a limited slice of your day (tasks, events, habits, saved preferences) leave the device together with the text you typed. What exactly is transmitted, and to whom, is set out in the privacy policy.

Without Pro you have 0 AI actions per month. The app remains fully usable.

5 · What happens when you tick something off

5.1 One tick carries along what belongs together

Tasks, calendar, habits and fitness hang together in My Day. Log a workout and the app ticks off the matching exercise habit for that day, completes the linked task and strikes through the linked calendar block. It works in both directions: tick off the task and the habit and the block are done too.

For a workout you log yourself, the app then says briefly what it carried along. Undo the completion and what it carried goes back with it. What happens to your streak in the process is in section 6.

5.2 Something is ticked off without you doing it

The usual reason is the import from Apple Health. Once you have allowed it, My Day picks up finished workouts from there, and an imported workout ticks off exactly the same things a self-logged one does. One difference remains: on import the app says nothing. One pass often brings in several workouts at once, and a receipt per workout would flicker through the whole import.

So you find ticks you did not set yourself. That is not a fault, it is the result of the import. Which habit and which task get hit depends on the link described in section 5.3. If you do not want that, stop the import (section 9) and clear the ticks one by one on the habits screen.

5.3 How the app works out the link

When you create a task, My Day looks for a habit that matches its title and links the two if they go together. That is a guess made from the title. Rename the task later and the app guesses again, so the link may move to a different habit or fall away.

You can decide it yourself: the task has a "Belongs to" section with a Habit row and a Calendar block row. Whatever you pick there stays put, even if you change the title afterwards. A repeating task does not have that section.

6 · Streaks

6.1 One gap sets the streak back to zero

The streak counts the days that reach up to today without a gap. Miss a day and it starts at zero again. There is no joker day and no grace day, and that is a decision rather than a missing piece: a streak that counts across the gap claims you kept at it when you did not. A number that flatters you says nothing. A day you really did and only forgot to tick can be filled in: section 6.2.

If you do not mean to do a habit every day, give it a weekly goal. The app then counts fulfilled weeks instead of days in a row. Three times a week planned and three times done fulfills the week, whichever days those are. The daily streak is untouched by this and stays strict.

6.2 Filling in a day that has passed

Forgotten is not lost. On the habits screen every habit shows the week from Monday to Sunday. Tap the day that has passed and the tick sits there. The arrows page back through earlier weeks as well. Days in the future cannot be tapped.

From the task side it only reaches back one day: tick off an overdue task that hangs on a habit and the app asks "When did you do this?", offering Today and Yesterday. It deliberately goes no further back, because a date picker would plug a three-week-old hole and would be the joker day under another name.

6.3 Two places where the app says nothing

When you undo a completion, the app says nothing. That is deliberate: a receipt for what was just undone would claim that something happened. The tick is simply gone, and whatever hung on it is open again.

On an exercise habit the tick also stays put as long as a workout belonging to it still sits on that day. The workout holds the day then, not the tick. Delete the workout and the tick goes with it. What a tick otherwise carries along is in section 5.

7 · Notifications and reminders

7.1 Turning off the 8:30 pm notice

If habits are still open in the evening, My Day speaks up at 8:30 pm. The notice carries a flame sign and the heading "Streak at risk"; for a habit with a weekly goal it reads "Weekly goal at risk". The time sits where the day can still be saved. More about streaks is in section 6.

There is no separate switch for that one notice. In your profile you can turn the morning agenda on and off, set its time, hide details on the lock screen and choose the lead time for events. The evening notice is not among them.

So the only way to be rid of it is to turn off notifications for the whole app in the iOS settings (section 9). That takes the task and event reminders and the morning agenda with it. A switch of its own for the evening notice is not built today. Write to me if it bothers you.

7.2 A reminder did not arrive

iOS keeps 64 slots per app for pending notifications. My Day divides them up: up to 36 for task reminders and up to 20 for events. The rest stays for the morning agenda and the evening notice.

If you have more reminders in the future than there are slots, iOS holds the nearest ones. The later ones stay on the task and move up as soon as the app runs again: on every launch and every change My Day re-files the list. There is no notice about any of this. So if you do not open the app for a long stretch, a reminder far out can fail to arrive.

Two more common reasons are worth checking first: notifications for My Day have to be allowed in the iOS settings, and a reminder whose moment has already passed is no longer delivered by iOS.

8 · The widget

8.1 Putting the widget on the home screen

  1. Press and hold an empty spot on the home screen until the icons jiggle.
  2. Tap + at the top.
  3. Find My Day in the list and swipe to the size you want. There are three.
  4. Tap Add Widget and put it where you want it.

By default the widget shows your next event and your three most important tasks; the largest size shows six. A tap on the small widget opens Today; on the wider ones the event leads to Calendar and the task list to Today. The widget is part of Pro.

What the tile shows can be changed. In the app: Profile → Appearance → "Views", then all the way down. Below the four screens there are three sections:

The selection applies to every tile on the home screen at once, not to a single one. If you have never touched it, you see what the paragraph above describes — that is the default.

8.2 Why the widget looks locked although Pro is running

If the tile shows PRO and "Widget is part of Pro" although your subscription is running, it is not about your purchase. The tile only gets content when the app knows your account is on Pro, and it asks about that the moment you open My Day. If the question goes nowhere because there is no connection right then, the app takes the careful route and sends nothing to the tile at all. Better locked once too often than someone else's data on your home screen.

A restart of the iPhone does not set this off — the app is not running then. It starts the moment you open the app and that question fails.

And it clears up again: the app remembers on your device that your account was confirmed as Pro before, and it asks once more on its own the next time you bring it to the front. While the lock is showing, this is what helps: get on Wi-Fi or turn on cellular data, open My Day, switch to the home screen once and come back to the app. After that it knows your plan, and the tile fills up on its next refresh.

What the app remembers does not last forever: thirty days without an expiry date, and up to that date with one. If you have been without a connection for weeks or have a new iPhone, you need a connection once — nothing more.

If the lock stays even though the app has been open with a connection, it is something else, and section 2.4 is the place to go.

If there is no lock on the tile and it says "All clear" or "Nothing coming up", it is not the plan but the selection from section 8.1 — most often the scope "Due today only".

9 · Withdrawing a permission

There are three permissions My Day can get from you, and you can take each one back in the iOS settings. It only ever asks when you tap a feature that needs one.

The Health import can also be stopped in the app itself. Where a permission is missing, the feature that hangs on it is missing. The rest of the app carries on.

10 · Reporting a bug

A bug can only be fixed if it can be reproduced. Please send to tilmann.pheiler05@gmail.com:

If you use the app through TestFlight, you can also send feedback with a screenshot straight from TestFlight — that attaches build and device details automatically.

Please do not include passwords, credentials or payment information. None of it is needed to track down a bug.
